For those that don't know what Polish Pickup is, it is a multi indie vendor shop that runs the first weekend of the month. Exclusive nail polish and nail care items galore. I'm a kid in a candy store when I shop there.

Each month has a voted on theme. December's was Enchanted Forest. Let's see how polish makers interpreted that theme!

Swirled Mint nails

As I mentioned in my Peppermints in the Parlor post, I love peppermint. It's my favorite scent and taste. The stronger the better. I also love rainbows. So this mani is a match made in heaven for me.

Topic Tuesdays: Favorite Christmas Polishes (+ Bonus Question)

Topic Tuesdays asked polish fans two questions on Instagram this week. I'm going to answer both.

The first question is of our favorite Christmas polishes. I'm a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to colors. Here are mine by color, both old and new. I'll do two for each color.

Better late than never. I intended to post this mani all this weekend but life got in the way. I've been excited to wear this in December since I got it in a destash a few months ago. Perfect for Christmas, am I right?

Femme Friday: Strings of Light

I'm posting this later than I'd like. At least it's still Friday? This is one of my most festive Femme Fatales in my collection.

December is a muggy month in my neck of the woods. Lots of muck on the ground after the latest downpour(s). Snow would be an improvement. This latest mani isn't the most festive but I appreciate the rainbow this polish provides.

Who's already set up their lights and/or tree? Congrats, you're faster than my family. My dad is currently out setting up some lights and I'm about to make some room for the tree after writing this. Christmastime is finally here!

As it's finally getting more festive here, I decided that I didn't want to go with a simple creme polish like I've been wearing lately. Not just holo, either. We're gonna get showered by some Unicorn Pee in this joint!

Femme Friday: Unicorn Treasure Trove (with PINK version!)

I've been so excited to share this one. It is one of my top Femmes. You know that a polish is good when you're seeking a backup and its "oops" variation. Y'all, for me that is Unicorn Treasure Trove.

Pokemon Go Community Weekend nails

Pokemon Go had a special Community Day to cap off the year. Instead of a single Pokemon hogging the spotlight for three hours, all the previous Community Day pokemon spawned at higher rates for an entire weekend. Got a bunch s'more Larvitar and Beldum candies so I'm happy.

Wax Empties, November 2018 Edition

I didn't empty, let alone melt, that much last month. Mostly because of fatigue and illness. Hard to enjoy scent when your stomach is churning, you know? That being said, everything I emptied this month was an old favorite or a newfound hit.

Thank goodness November is finally ending. It felt like it lasted forever. For my final mani this month, I went with an older Femme Fatale store exclusive- the feline inspired Caliby.

For those that don't know, Polish Pickup is an online shop that opens the first weekend of the month. Indie polish makers come together to make items inspired by a certain theme picked by customers.

This will be a smaller haul. Just three polishes. Shame, because I love this month's theme. Badass Women is one kickass theme. There's always destashes, at least.

Femme Friday: Autumnal Light

Greetings, y'all! Happy Black Friday! It's been awhile since I've done a Femme Friday. A month or so? I didn't want to end the series so soon, so here's a new installment perfect for the season! I'm talking about Autumnal Light.

OPI Green on the Runway

I had to cut my nails back recently. Slipped down my porch in drenching rain and snapped off almost all of my nails, lucky me. Fortunately, none broke beyond my smile line. At least my nails grow fast.

I recently found OPI Gelcolor Pro Health base and top coat at Marshall's for $4 each, so I'm trying that as a gel base over RNP now. First up is an old OPI called Green on the Runway.

Happy 90th Birthday, Mickey and Minnie!

On November 18, 1928, "Steamboat Willie" first played in theaters. It was not only one of the first talkie cartoons but also the general audience's first introduction to Mickey Mouse and his girlfriend, Minnie. Two icons were born.

I may prefer Donald, but I do like Mickey and Minnie. Not to mention the big 9-0? That's no joke. Few pop culture icons, especially animated, can boast that number. Such an important anniversary calls for nail art!

China Glaze Grinch themed manicure

There's a new Grinch movie out this weekend. There's a lot of tie in merchandise coming out for it, from the obvious stuffed animals to... ancestry testing? Yeah, there's a Grinch themed 23 and Me commercial out. Whut. Naturally, I'm most excited for the nail polish tie in. China Glaze hasn't stolen Christmas but rather gifted lacqueristas everywhere with Grinch themed polish. Earlier this week I wore a mani featuring two of those polishes.

Nail Hoot Autumn Fire

I don't wear red polish often. It's more of a nail art tool for me. When I do wear it, however, it tends to be reds with a twist like Nail Hoot Autumn Fire.

Halloween Skittles!

....Or should I call them Cauldron Skittles? That's what the Halloween mix of Skittles are called.

Regardless, I wasn't up to doing my nails last night for Halloween, so I did a quick stamping look this year. All the base colors are from OPI and I implemented a couple nail stamping plates for the designs. Not bad given how quick it is.

Greetings, y'all! Got another Polish Pickup haul to share!

Polish Pickup is a multi vendor shop that's open during the first weekend of the month. All polishes are exclusive to the shop. You can order as much as you want during its opening, although some items have caps placed on them. Domestic shipping is a flat $3.

By the way, every PPU is themed. This month's was villains.

Femme Fatale 7th Anniversary Trio swatches and reviews

Femme Fatale recently celebrated its seventh year of operation. Has it really been that long? I got into them shortly before their fourth anniversary. How time flies.

Every year a special trio is released to commemorate this achievement. Each trio is also themed. This year the polishes are inspired by the brain.

Not to be confused with these Brains

Since the trio will hit stockists in the very near future (if not already), I figured why not share my thoughts on them? Each swatch except for one are with glossy top coat and matte accents.

Mundo de Uñas stamping plates swatches and reviews

Greetings, y'all! You may know that Mundo de Uñas makes stamping polish, but did you know that it also offers stamping plates? I only recently found out myself. Guess I was more focused on what they're most famous for. There's an eclectic mix carried, from the usual lace and flowers to fandom plates. There are even NSFW ones if you're daring enough to wear them in public. They're just as cheap as the stamping polish- I paid $3.50 for each plate before a sale promo applied.

I managed to cut down my purchase to five plates. Trust me, it was difficult. They're all fandom related, but vary from Disney to Hello Kitty to Pokemon and Sailor Moon. If you want to see how they perform, read on.

Today's polish was a minor lemming of mine for awhile. I knew I wanted it when I first saw it, but it came out the same month as Momocon. Con funds > polish. Someone eventually answered my ISO for this, and I couldn't be more excited.

Femme Friday: Wolfsbane

Some people love vampires, others zombies. I'm a werewolf girl. Lifelong fan. I consumed a lot of the classic werewolf flicks and folklore as a kid as well as more contemporary media such as Goosebumps installments. When I saw the name for this old glitter Femme, I knew I had to have it.

Magica de Spell nails

I'm always waffling between whether or not Magica de Spell or Flintheart Glomgold is my favorite Disney Duck villain. Probably Flintheart. But Magica's a super close second. Both are awesome.

OPI Mrs O'Leary's BBQ

Another simple weekend mani. Cremes are wonderful for that. I've worn OPI cremes countless times before, but this is my first time using their Infinite Shine line. Probably fitting that I'm wearing a popular shade like Mrs O'Leary's BBQ as my first.

Goosebumps Monster Blood

Being a 90s kid, Goosebumps was absolutely part of my childhood. The iconic book covers creeped me out, the famous TV show theme song haunted my ears, and there was a year where I read almost exclusively Goosebumps during DEAR time at school. You bet I watched that Jack Black movie that came out a few years ago. It was a nostalgia gold mine. Now that that movie is getting a sequel that's debuting this weekend, why not get covered in Monster Blood?

Obligatory Jack O' Lantern nails

Ah, Jack O' Lanterns. One of the first symbols of Halloween one learns about. For that reason they are a popular source for nail art. It's one I always intended to do but didn't get around to doing until now.

Subtle Plaid Nails

Just wanted to do something simple this weekend. Originally I just wanted to wear OPI Alpaca My Bags by itself but ultimately decided why not do some stamping. Plaid (or rather, plaid flannel) spoke to me. After choosing between tannish greige and white, I figured that the Moonflower Polish that I recently hauled would look good. A quick stamping test on a swatch nail confirmed. It's subtle, but I like it. It's like there's a reward for looking closely at my nails or in direct light.

Everything I Hauled from September's Polish Pickup

Greetings, y'all! I'm here with my latest haul from Polish Pickup!

If you're new to Polish Pickup, it is an online store set up during the first weekend of the month where a bunch of polish makers come together and make exclusive polishes modeled after a common theme. September 2018's theme was horror movies. I don't consider myself a die hard horror fan but I do enjoy them. Especially psychological and werewolf flicks. I get full moon fever whenever I see werewolf related stuff.

Midnight Sophia Wax Warmer nails

A bunch of Yankee Candle fans look forward to new Boney Bunch collectibles every year. I look forward to the Sophia the Cat stuff. Fits into my love of black kitties. Last year's Midnight Sophia line particularly appealed to me. The tealight warmer from that collection is definitely my cutest warmer.

Given how much I love this warmer, it's a no brainer that I'd do nails based on it.

Happy first day of October! I love fall in general and October the most out of the months of the year. Can't wait to do all sorts of Halloween themed manis this month! However, I'll start the month with a more general fall related look. Anyone up for caramel apples?

It's taken a month, but I'm finally getting some home decorating projects done at my new house. I'm most excited about my room getting painted. I've been having in a pretty bare room for the past month and I just want to unload everything. (Also have a nail polish rack I've been itching to put up. I'm so excited!) Got one coat on tonight and my parents and I will paint the second tomorrow.

For this weekend, I wanted to go simple. I felt like wearing a brown this weekend so I didn't have a hard time picking what to wear. One look in a melmer drawer and I fished out Sayuri Nail Lacquer Spirit of the Forest.
