Bee's Knees Lacquer Ghost or Furby?

I have noticed that a lot of my manis (past, present, and planned) are from the one Polish Pickup order I made in 2024. There will be at least one more following this one. How can I help it, when the colors are all so cute (and the toys they were inspired by so nostalgic)?

Bee's Knees Ghost or Furby? is a gray crelly with pink to gold to green microflake shimmer. Owner Sarah was inspired by the original Furbies sold in the 1990s, which scared the pants off many kids because they had a tendency to turn on and off on their own. Hence the "ghost" in the name. This polish reminds me of the Furby that we had at my house as a kid, which looked a lot like this one:

Needless to say, the moment that I saw the color and name together, I had instant flashbacks to my brother swearing that he taught our gray Furby to swear, or said Furby suddenly "swearing" without us telling it to while sitting on our fireplace mantel. Good times. Last I saw he's currently in my brother's basement, on a wire rack overlooking the chest freezer. 

I enjoy Bee's Knees's application and formula. Some of my longest lasting manis have been with BKL. This one was the typical smooth application, even with the flakie glitters since they can be clumpy when applying. I applied Glisten and Glow Glitter Grabber to smooth out the surface despite that they laid well on the nail because I almost always do that with any polish that has texture when dried. While sheerer BKLs often require three coats, this one only required two. The shimmer usually shows pink on me, particularly indoors, although the gold also shows up well in sunlight (or what little sunlight we get in Finland this time of year). Fitting. 

Overall, I love this polish. It makes me smile every time I see it between the shimmer dancing on my nails and remembering the Furby I had as a child.
